Preparation Phase :
- Before using dried sweet peppers, boil them in hot water for 15-20 minutes to soften them. This makes them suitable for stuffing.
- After boiling, drain the peppers and let them cool.
Making Stuffed :
- For the stuffing, a mixture is prepared by mixing rice, minced meat (optional), onion, tomato, pepper paste, spices (such as black pepper, cumin, mint, chili pepper) and olive oil.
- The prepared mixture is filled into the boiled peppers and the mouth of the peppers is closed.
- Place the stuffed vegetables in a pot and drizzle some olive oil over them. Add water until halfway through the stuffed vegetables and cook over low heat.
Service :
- After cooking, the dolmas can be served hot or cold. They can be served with yoghurt on top.
